The Viesa No-Idling Air Conditioning System achieves this goal in two ways. First, because it runs from a 12 volt battery and not from idling the vehicle's engine or from a diesel-powered Auxillary Power Unit or generator, it saves fuel. Also, because it uses water as its coolant, we do not rely on Freon or Freon substitutes.
The Vigia Tire Guardian helps vehicle owners extend the life of their tires. Tires are made from rubber, a petrochemical product. By extending the life of your tires, you are decreasing our dependency on oil. In addition, because Vigia Tire Guardian causes tires to wear more evenly, it saves casings, making them available for retread.
Much in the same fashion, using retread tires (or recaps, as they are sometimes called), you can pitch in equally as much. According to the Tire Retread Information Bureau, it takes 22 gallons of oil to manufacture ONE new truck tire. Yes, that's 22 gallons to make ONE tire!
Because most of that oil is found in the casing of the tire and the casing is the part of the tire that gets reused in the retread process, only 7 gallons of oil are needed to retread that same tire. Imagine that! Every time you retread a tire, you can save 15 gallons of oil.
